| YNC ridicules JU for demanding money from players | | | Early times report Jammu, Mar 3: J&K Youth National Conference has strongly condemned Jammu University authorities for demanding money from the young players practicing in its play grounds. Talking to media persons here today, Surinder Singh Bunty Provincial President, JKYNC alleged that Physical Director Jammu University forced the players to leave the ground with the help of police and University Security besides openly demanded money from the players practicing in the grounds. He further said that when he contacted Physical Director Jammu University, he said, ‘Chief Minister has not given the single penny to JU in the shape of funds so we have the directions to charge Rs 500 per month from these players who are not University students’. Bunty appealed to Minister for Higher Education and Sports to intervene in the matter and resolve the issue immediately by allowing the players to practice in the grounds without charging money to them. Bunty also said that J&K YNC delegation will meet the Chief Minister and apprise him about the situation. Others who were present in the press conference included Vijay Luthra, Provincial Secretary, Rajesh Bakshi, District President Jammu, Iqbal Wani Joint Secretary, Surinder Jamwal District President Jammu Urban and others.
