| Employees JAC to continue strike | | |
Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 4: The central committee of J&K government employees Joint Action committee in a meeting under collective leadership of Ram Kumar Sharma, Mohd. Gafoor Dar, Rafiq Ahmed Khanyari, Khurshid Kutey, Mohd. Maqbool Ganai, Balwan Singh, S. Amrik Singh, Babu Hussain Malik, Javid Ahmed, and Ab. Aziz Gazi discussed the situation arising after holding dialogue with the cabinet sub committee have yesterday. The central committee has now decided to continue four days strike programme up to 6th April, On April 5th the 3rd day of the strike the government employees and workers will observe strike and hold gate demonstration in their respective office complexes and on 6th April the employes will hold ralley at district and tehsil level. In Jammu city leaders said zonewise rallies will be organized where future course of action will be announced.
The central committee urged upon the state government to come forward with a sound proposal on payment of 6th pay commission arrears and retirement age so that EJAC could take a proper decision. The other prominent members who were present in the meeting were Hari Singh, Madan Sangral, S Swaran Singh, Suman Sharma, Fariq Ahmed, and Katar Chand Dubey.
