| MHAC Parents Association hails court decision | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 4: In a writ petition by MHAC Nagbani School Parents Association against Managing Committee of the school, court has directed the chairman MHAC Nagbani School and management for their act of compelling the parents of the wards to fill undertaking which runs against the directions issued by the court. Appearing counsel for respondent stated the instructions to sign undertaking by the parents had been issued on some misconception and henceforth the school shall not compel any parent to do so. Speaking on the occasion, President Pawan Kesar said that the after giving assurance by advocate, the court had dismissed contempt petition. The court also directed the respondents to file papers justifying the fee they have been charging from the students for imparting education in the school. He further said that the association is heartily thankful to Justice J.P. Singh, as he had given justice to parents of the wards. This is a great relief to especially the middle class parents. He also said that the fee structure may be reconstructed in the near future. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Rajesh Dhingar, T.S. Abrol, Varinder Chatta, Naresh Chander and others. |
