| One killed, 9 injured in truck accident | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 04: A truck loaded with bricks skidded off the road and fell into a gorge at Jandrolla in Poonch Sunday, resulting in the instant death of a labourer and injuries to nine others, including driver. A truck (8937/JK02E) was on its way from Poonch town to a nearby village, but when it reached Jandrolla at about 5.45 pm, the driver lost control over it as a result of which it fell into a 100-ft-deep gorge. It was loaded with bricks. Police sources said one labourer was killed on the spot, while nine others, including driver, survived with multiple injuries. The dead was identified as Mohammad Rashid (35) of Jandrolla and the injured as driver Mohammad Arshad and labourers -- Mohammad Azad, Mohammad Sharief, Mohammad Ameen, Mohammad Syed, Mohammad Jameel, Mohammad Salim, Mohammad Tahir and Imitiaz Ahmad. All of them were admitted to the district hospital, Poonch. Sources said four of them, including the driver, were referred to the GMC Hospital, Jammu, following deterioration in their condition.
