Paloura residents felicitate BJP President
4/5/2010 11:46:51 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

Jammu, Apr 5: Residents of village Paloura organized an impressive function to felicitate BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas, State Secretary Surinder Sharma and District President Suraj Padha. Manhas was garlanded by his school days teacher Pawan Singh Manhas on the occasion. Manhas expressed gratitude to people for boosting his morale by felicitating him. He said that Paloura was once the central point of all the activities of nationalist people who raised voice against permit system and spent many precious years in jails during Ek Vidhan-Ek Nishan-Ek Pradhan agitation. Terming BJP as a party with difference, he said it is the only political party in which even son of a farmer or a labourer can become State as well as National President, while Congress, NC and PDP are dynastic parties, where generation after generation only one family heads them. The other difference between the BJP and other parties is that it promotes nationalism, fights for strengthening nationalist forces and works for full integration of the state with rest of the country. BJP stands for abrogation of Article-370, while Congress sings the tune of NC and PDP and never utter single word on demands of Surrender Policy, pre-1953 position, Self-rule, Autonomy and troops withdrawal. It was NC, Congress and PDP which ruled the state after independence and adopted appeasement policy aimed at welfare and development of valley and its people and ignoring Jammu in all matters and at all levels, Manhas added. BJP chief reminded the gathering of the supreme sacrifices of great Dogras for the cause of the nation in the state and urged them to get united in order to defeat the nefarious designs of all such forces which are working round the clock to weaken the nationalist forces and demoralize the security forces. The party activists and hundreds of people present on the occasion pledged to reach the masses and educate them about the anti-people, anti-poor and anti-Jammu policies of the coalition government. Sukhdev Singh, Sushma Manhas, Joginder Singh Chib, Vaishno Dutt, Omi Khajuria, Neelam Manhas, Mukesh Sharma, Hans Raj Manhas, Capt. Lal Chand, Sham Lal and Joginder Singh Chouhan were prominent among others who also garlanded Shamsher Singh Manhas.
