| 130 ltrs. Kerosene Oil seized, 1 held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr 5: Ramban Police foiled an attempt of embezzlement of Govt. Kerosene oil and arrested the main accused being involved for illegal sale of it for his personal profit. Reports said that Police party of Police Station Ramban during patrolling apprehended one shopkeeper namely Karnail Singh, son of Brij Lal Thakur, resident of Kellen Morh for selling the kerosene oil in the black market . The misappropriation of Govt property which is meant for poor and needy people was foiled timely by the Police party and recovered 130 ltrs of kerosene oil. The accused was arrested under section 3 E.C Act and case to this effect stands registered in Police Station Ramban. Yet in another achievement Ramban Police arrested one bootlegger identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed, son of Ab.Karim, resident of Shadi Gool and recovered 17 pouches of J&K Excise containing 375 ml each from his possession. Reports said that Police party of PP Darmkund routine patrolling intercepted one person at Dharmkund and during checking above illegal consignment was seized from his possession. The accused was booked under section 48 Excise Act and case to this effect stands registered at Police Station Ramban.
