SSH hold demonstration against irregularities in voters list

Jammu, Apr 5: A massive demonstration in front of chief electoral office (CEO) was held by Shiv Sena Hindustan (SSH) to register their protest for the irregularities in the voter list. Addressing the protestors SSH president Dimpy Kohli said it will be meaningless to hold the local body election if each and every voter is not allowed to cast his /her vote. The electoral roll prepared by the authorities is totally wrong as lot of names are missing and the wrong address as well as wrong parentage can be seen in electoral roll, and their identity cards to the voters is not completed yet. What was the government doing from the last assembly election till date, if the roll could not be set right during such a long time how can the municipal corporation set it right within few days. He said it seems someone is deliberately doing this mal practice to safe guard his interest and demanded. A proble be started and persons involved in tampering or making deliberately false electoral roll should be punished for such act. There is one gross violation about 1200 Gujjar votes of Balicharana has been shown as the voters of ward no 23 similarly the voter list of each and every ward is tampered to give benefit to someone. In some cases even the name of the corporator are missing. The mane of upper caste voters and deliberately taken out of the electoral roll. Others who attended the meeting were Rakesh Kak, Kulbir Chib, Krishan Slaria, Raj Singh, Kulbushan Singh, Ashok Kumar and Bittu.
