| 'Support Cong candidates in Municipal polls' | | | Early Times Report
RAMNAGAR, Apr 5: R. S. Pathania, a lawyer and a prominent Youth Congress activist called upon the public of Ramnagar to support Congress candidates in the upcoming Municipal Polls, here today.
Rolling out the manifesto of the party, he said that in case Congress is voted to power in Ramnagar Town Area Committee, it shall strive for transparency and fairness in awarding of contracts/work orders for developmental activities. It shall further evolve out a fair and equitable system of execution of developmental works in all wards of Ramnagar and distribution of housing aids under IHSDP. Whereas cleanliness, anti-encroachment measures, proper lighting, long-term holistic planning and sanitation and timely upkeep of all wards shall also be top priority of Congress.
Addressing Congress workers and general people in the historic township of Ramnagar, Pathania spelled out that his party does not believe in taking false credit and cheap publicity out of centrally-sponsored schemes by circulating press-releases.
He further called upon administration to emphasize upon providing basic living facilities like electricity, drinking water, sanitation, health, road connectivity facilities.
He further called for enlistment of Dudu-Basantgarh in the tourist map of the state.
The scenic beauty of Basantgarh and Dudu mars the choicest of tourist hubs of the state but lack of tourist infrastructure and administrative indolence have played spoilsport with the area. Whereas developing tourism in the area shall not only spur development in the area but boost local employment also.
A meeting was held in party office under the chairmanship of Sh. Rajinder Singh Manhas, State Vice President and Sh. Nadeem Khan, State General Secretary in wcvbbhich unanimously decided that AdvocateAnzar Ahmed Khan R/O Mendhar be nominated as District General Secretary,Youth for Poonch and Sh. Mohd. Farooq (Mona) be nominated as Block President, Youth Mendhar.
In the meeting, the State General Secretary Youth said that Advicate Anzar Ahmad Khan has to work hard to achieve the objective of the Party leadership and strengthen the Party in every nook and corner of Poonch District and work hard for upliftment of Youth. Other Senior Youth leaders present on the occasion were Deepu Chib, Gurdeep Panday, Reyaz Atish, 'State Secretary, Jagjit Singh, Sonu Singh and they also spoke on this occasion.
