| NC led coalition renege promises made to public: PDP | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Apr 5: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) analyzed that NC led coalition has lost credibility as ruling party have reneged all promises made to people. Public anger against the regime could be gauged from the fact that NC leaders have also now started criticizing their own government for its failure to fulfill the promises made to people. Commenting on the criticism of NC led coalition by Dr. Mehboob Beg, PDP youth president, Bashir Assad said that Beg was forced by the public mood to issue such a statement against his own government. "Instead of coming up to the expectations of the people this regime has been trying to hoodwink the masses by giving confusing statements", Assad said and added that achievements of the regime confined only on papers as this dispensation was more particular about issuing press statements and conducting photo sessions to befool the people. Assad said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed led coalition has not only carved out a path of equitable development but also empowered all regions and sub-regions of the State. Assad regretted that present dispensation led by National Conference has failed to carry forward that policy of equitable development and equal participation. Assad further added that PDP led coalition has set vibrant and progressive standard of government in which all regions and sub-regions were equally involved. He however, present government has failed to carry forward that standard. "Instead of pursuing the agenda of development and reconciliation, the present government has been indulged in vindictive politics trying to take credit of the historical achievements of PDP-Congress coalition. "It is really a matter of concern that this dispensation is not realising the ground situation. Instead of taking steps to address the aspirations of the people, the government is adopting oppressive measures to stifle the voice of the people" Assad added.
