| Unprecedented overloading cause of concern | | | Early Times Report
Kathua Apr 6: Who permitted passenger autos, matadors and buses for overloading to play with lives of innocent people on various roads of Kathua including Jarai Morh, Hatli Morh, Hatli Village, Logate, Barwal, Nagri, and Lakhanpur. Violation of traffic rules has become routine of the day.
School going and old aged are forced to get hanged out side autos and matadors while as sitting capacity of auto is not more than 5 people and capacity of matador is not more than 25, still autos manage to load a dozen of passengers whereas matadors load double to the exact capacity. Traffic police is mute spectators thus situation is worsening with every passing day. Traffic police is often seen taking bribe from drivers of these overloaded vehicles and deliberately ignore proper checking which generates major threat to lives of passengers
With the result minor as well as major accidents used to occur in which many thousands of innocent killings happened. So it is morale duty of the administration and traffic police to provide transport facilities to people. Traffic police in Kathua should give better services for security of the common passengers and make routine check over overloading to reduce risks of accidents. Administration should also awaken from deep slumber to show their accountability towards their duties. |
