Early Times Report
jAMMU, Apr 7:All J&K Regularized ReT Teachers Forum has accused the government of befooling employees.
In a meeting held here today under the chairmanship under the chairmanship of Forum president Surinder Kumar Choudary, the members alleged that government has adopted delaying tactics in solving the just and genuine problems of employees.
Extending their full support to the striking employees, the members appealed all the employees to fight for their rights.
Demanding modification in a government order, the members also urged upon the government for providing seniority benefits to the regularised ReT teachers from their date of appointment.
The members said that under the order number 115, the government has given the pensionary benefits to the ReT from the date of joining but no seniority benefits were extended to them. Consequently, their five years service as ReT is going unaccounted.
They urged upon the higher authorities of the Education department to provide service benefits from their date of appointment as ReT.
We are demanding only notional service benefits and not the financial benefits which means there shall be no burden on the state exchequer, said Surinder Choudhary.
Demanding transfer of regularized ReT teachers after two years, the Forum members said most of female teachers are now married in inter zone /inter district areas and it has become very difficult for them to reach their place of posting after covering more than 50 km or above distance.
They also demanded regularization of Education Volunteers (EVs) who have completed their five years tenure either as EV and as ReT and enhancement of wages from Rs 1500 to Rs 3000 at an earliest.
Among others who were present in the meeting included Vinay Sharma, Gagan Mishra,Jagdish Singh, Anil Choudhary, Dr Khem Raj, Dr Kiran Kumar, Asha Choudhary, Sweta Sharma, Sunita, Tarsem Singh and others.
