| HC orders not to consider appointment of 20 physical teachers | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 7: In a petition challenging appointment of 20 physical education teacher District Kathua, Justice JP Singh after hearing Adv Surinder Kour issued notice to State & Ors including 20 appointees and ordered that the Director School Education Jammu, Service Selection Board shall not consider appointment of 20 private respondents as Physical Education Teacher unless the certificates relied upon for having played nationals were found genuine. This order shall remain in operation for a period of four weeks. In the petition filed by Kailash Kumar & Jatinder Kumar they challenged the selection for appointment of physical education teacher in the District Kathua on the basis of that the petitioner Kailash Kumar who had done matric & CP Education and working as Physical Education teacher on contractual basis. Petitioner Jatinder Kumar had also done matric & CP Education and applied on the basis of advertisement issued on May 28, 2008 for the post of Physical Education Teachers District Cadre Kathua. In the petition it has been submitted by the Adv Surinder Kour that the respondents issued the select list which was published on February 20, 2010 in the newspapers and private respondent 20 have selected for the posts of Physical Education teachers for District Kathua under open merit category. The respondents have deprived petitioner from their valuable rights of service. It was alleged in the petitioner that some of the selected candidates in District Kathua who have also selected in District Jammu, District Udhampur and District Poonch, this shows the malafide intention of respondents and seeking quashment of the selection list.
