Bhalla inaugurates Black-topping work

JAMMU, Apr 7: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Mr. Raman Bhalla today said that in fifteen months of tenure of Coalition Government, 99% works in Gandhi Nagar constituency colony was completed on modern lines by providing all infrastructural facilities to the people.
The Minister was addressing a large gathering at Sainik Colony in Ward No. 70 Sector-G after inaugurating Black-topping work of 7-kilometer long link road, completed at a cost of Rs. 55 lakh.
Mr. Bhalla said that Mr. Omar led Government is making all out efforts to connect every nook and corner of the State with nearest City and Town by providing road connectivity. He said that Centre Government headed by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has provided liberal funding for developing the Jammu and Kashmir State as a Model State. He asked the people to personally monitor the quality of works in their respective areas. He said that no work would be completed without people’s participation.
Listing the facilities provided in Sainik Colony including 100 street lights, 6 parks, 4 water coolers, better lanes and drains besides roads. He said that to connect the Sector A with Sector G, Government has approved Rs. 50 lakh for construction of bridge. He asked the executing agency to complete the construction work of the bridge within stipulated time frame.
The Minister said that Government has approved Rs. 25 lakh for construction of stadia in Sainik Colony for the benefit of Sports lovers. He said that the construction work would be started after completing tender formalities. Regarding construction of Primary Health Centre at Sainik Colony, he asked the locals to donate land for the purpose so that the hospital facilities could be provided to the locals. He said that to improve the drinking water facilities in Chatta in Sunjawan and Sainik Colony, he said that a deep drill tube well at a cost of Rs. 2.5 crore is under construction and would be completed by June 2010. He said that after commissioning the tube well, the drinking water facilities in the Sainik Colony, Sunjawan and its adjoining areas would be solved in large extent.
To improve the power scenario in Channi Himmat, Channi Rama, Sainik Colony, Bhatindi, Sunjwan and Greater Kailash, he said that Government has installed G-8 feeder in Narwal Grid station.
