Govt fiddling with data on KP’s
4/7/2010 11:50:06 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT
jaMMU, Apr 7: An organisation of Kashmiri Pandits today contested the statement of Jammu and Kashmir government on the casualties suffered by the community during two decades of militancy in the state, and accused the government of "fiddling with the data". "The government has not done justice with the community. It has provided wrong figures about the number of those who lost their lives and the places of worship which were damaged during over two decades of militancy," President of Kashmiri Pandit Sangarsh Samiti Sanjay K Tikoo said in a statement here. The state government told the Assembly last month that 219 Kashmiri Pandits were killed by militants since 1989.
