| Constitute SIT to probe paper leakage; School Association to CM | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 7: An emergency meeting of the "Jammu Private Schools & ETT Institutes Association (Progressive)" was convened under the Chairmanship of its President Dee Singh to discuss the news published in a section of press, statements of Jammu police in context of recent leakage of question papers of class 10th. & 12Th. Association termed action of Jammu police as a right step taken after a long delay particularly in view of its casual attitude while investigating the ETT 1st year English paper of the Board session 2007-09 in November 2009 despite of nominating the names of the institutions & the kingpins involved, before the media for a week together. It further expressed that meaningful investigation of the Jammu police certainly would have proved effective to prevent the present leakage but weather authorities will explain the compulsions behind? Association was surprised over the statement of IGP, Jammu where he declared that no senior BOSE official is involved in the leakage scam just prior to the arrest of the kingpin & proper investigation of the case. Association also termed the statement as almost confusing and expressed its displeasure for lacking the required clarities because it is an issue linked with the sentiments of thousands of students, their parents and the image of the JK Board as well. Association appealed the state government to deal this vital issue in an effective & transparent manner in order to restore the faith of the people at large. It further appealed the government for a time bound probe of the issue for an urgent follow up otherwise any sort of casual approach can multiply the confusions among the students community which will not be in the interest of state at all. Association finally appealed the Chief Minister for constituting a special investigation team of experts for probing such shameful and antinational incidents as the same certainly reflect a blot on the face of a government.
