| Fix fee structures in Private Coaching institutions: NSF | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 8: The National Secular Forum today asked the State govt. to devise a policy to keep check over the functioning of private coaching institution in the state to save students from exploitation. Addressing a press conference, Vikas Sharma, NSF President, alleged that private coaching institutions had been charging exhorbitant fees from the students for preparing them for Medical, Engineering and other competitive examinations. He said that these institutions were exploiting the students and their parents in the absence of govt. policy regarding their functioning and asked the state govt. to set up a Competant authority to keep check over their style of functioning besides, fixing fee structures. Sharma also advised the state govt. to arrange coaching classes for the aspirants of medical and engineering in college buildings at different districts so that the students and those belonging to far-flung area could also benefited in this regard. He added that such coaching classes can easily be held during the upcoming months in which the services of highly trained faculty from the college be utilized. Sharma further took a dig at private coaching institution for allegedly not following the norms and exploiting the faculty members. Vikram Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Pawan, maqeem ansari were also present during the press conference.
