| Aasiya seeks arrest of her children | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, April 8: Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chief Aasiya Andarbi has sought arrest of her two sons. The arrest, according to her, will relieve them of police harassment. In a statement issued at Srinagar late this evening, Aasiya said: "I went into hiding three months ago to escape arrest. The police knows about it but my house is raided almost daily to harass my children." Aasiya said her husband was serving a life term in Srinagar central jail. "I am left alone to take care of my children. But ever since I went into hiding, my children live alone. The police harass them day in and day out. Yesterday they found scores of police men in the hose when they returned from school", she said. She urged the `puppet government' to stop harassment of the innocent children. "Lock my house and take my children into custody. This is the only way out", she lamented. She sought international intervention. |
