4/10/2010 12:07:37 AM
early times report
Jammu, Apr 9: Senior members and office bearers of Chamber of Commerce & Industry held a meeting under the Chairmanship of Y.V. Sharma to take stock of the situation arising due to the ongoing strike by the state government employees. Members expressed deep anguish and concern for the difficulties and hardships being faced by common man. Deserted hospitals and locked government offices speaks volume about the miseries inflicted to the general masses. Members felt that no useful purpose will be served by putting the advertisement in the newspapers showing the inability of the state government to accede demands of employees; instead the state government without any further delay should seriously and honestly engage the striking employees in constructive dialogue. The meeting also appealed to the striking employees to show flexibility and start immediate dialogue so as to save the common man from untold miseries and hardships heaped on them for none of their fault.
