| Ex Lance Naik gets 5-yr jail term for spying | | | Early times Report New Delhi, Apr 9: A Delhi court today sentenced an ex-service man to five years rigorous imprisonment for passing some secret documents to a Pakistan embassy official in 2007. Additional Sessions Judge Dharmesh Sharma also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on former lance naik of Indian army Mohd Naseem, besides the prison term, after holding him guilty of various offences under the Official Secrets Act. The court refused to show leniency to 34-year-old Naseem who was working as Lance Naik with Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry division at the time of his arrest from the national capital on June 29, 2007.
