| NC discredited Assembly: PDP | | PDP 'behaviour' in frustration: Sagar | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 9: Enraged and infuriated over the attitude of Speaker for allowing passage of Inter District Recruitment Bill without their participation in the debate, PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti came down heavily on NC once again, alleging the party today discredited the highest forum of democracy Assembly the same way it discredited Election Commission in 1987. The NC she asserted has hurt the dignity and decorum of the Assembly by rushing through the passage without allowing debate over the issue. "We wanted to discuss the pros and cons of the Bill……..they allowed BJP and Panthers Party to speak but stopped PDP just to muzzle our voice despite the fact we are largest opposition party with 21 MLAs……this is no way to pass the Bill as they did everything which is against the democratic norms", Mehbooba said while speaking to media outside the House. Mehbooba said her party was in favour of bill envisaging ban on inter district recruitments but in its original form. "PDP doesn't want to make it an issue or basis for fight between the two regions of Kashmir and Jammu……we wanted to express our opinion about the reservation provision for SCs", she said alleging that NC has always resorted to such hurrying acts when they feel guilty of doing anything wrong. "The government has created a confrontationist situation, where boys and girls in general category will feel their right to employment is being taken away by people from outside districts in the name of SC reservation.", Mehbooba observed adding that NC ensured the passage in an autocratic manner by bulldozing the norms of democracy(NC Nay Dande Ki Nok Par Is Bill Ko Pass Kiya Hai). Supporting the views of her party leader, Muzaffar Hussain Beigh also came down heavily upon the NC contending that by incorporating the provision of reservation for SCs, the NC had violated the Reseravtion Act of state. "They have not done any service to SC category….. the community will get no justice by 8 % reservation instead their interests and constitutional rights have been damaged", Beigh said Taking on Speaker in particular and NC in general, Beigh alleged the latter had resorted to such tactics which were seen when there used to no genuine and no true representatives in the House. This , he alleged they have done to stick to the chair (Yeh Apni Kursi Par Fevicol Laga Rahein Hai). The bickerings between NC and PDP continued when the Law Minister Ali Mohamad Sagar dismissed the allegations of PDP contending PDP created ruckus 'out of desperation and frustration' " They wanted to create scenes like they have been doing for the past few days boycotting for no real issue. "Their only concern is see that some rift and differences should happen between NC and Congress" , said Sagar, adding that PDP will fail in such designs. They created scenes today in a bid of frustration…..they have challenged the highest post of Speaker of the Assembly , Sgara observed, while hitting out at PDP.
