JAMMU, Apr10: Beating Department of Psychology 2-1 in the final, The Business School clinched the women's badminton title in the ogoing Inter-Department Sports Meet of University of Jammu on the campus, here today.
Taking lead by winning the first singles through Venika Saini, Business School lost the second to find the score levelled at 1-1. However, in the deciding doubles, Venika, pairing with Anjali played superb game and clinched the match 2-0.
The Results: Singles: Venika Saini bt Roshi 21-07; Anjali lost to Ritu 08-21. Doubles: Venika and Anjali defeated the pair of Roshi and Ritu 21-12, 21-05.
Today's final was officiated by Ravish Vaid, Raksh Sharma and Dr Rajinder.
Meanwhile, according to the PTI Campus, Romesh Sharma, the men's badminton final shall be played on April 12.
