Early times report JAMMU, Apr 10: The migrants from Jammu province held a demonstration at Divisional Commissioner office, Jammu protesting against discrimination and non- implementation of directions from Apex court for release of all such benefits as applicable to Kashmiri migrants. The demonstration was led by Haji Mohd. Aslam Kohli, President, Jammu Migrants Front. Addressing the massive demonstration, Kohli castigated the government for denial of relief and ration to migrants from Jammu province. He also took the Revenue department to task for circulating incorrect information for release of these benefits. Replies to the cut motions moved by some legislators indicate that 133 families from Jammu migrants are provided relief and ration at par with the Kashmiri migrants, while fact of the matter is that 84 families are provided such benefits, 12 are paid Rs 400 per member to the maximum of Rs 1600 per month and rest 37 out of 133 families are untraceable which need to be investigated as to where this huge amount goes, Kohli elaborated. He said that the replies also indicate that 10 liters of kerosene and Rs 300 per animal is also provided to Jammu migrants which is also false and needs to be investigated as it involves huge financial implications. Some families are provided only ration items . He said that all judgments from the Apex Court and High court be implemented in letter and spirit in favour of migrants from Jammu Division. Participated by Ghulam Mohi din Beg, Bodh Raj Hakim, Somi Raj, Madam Kamlesh, Rekha and others.
