SRINAGAR: Troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR) today arrested three Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) along with arms and ammunition from Handwara in Kupwara, Kashmir. Identified as Bilal Ahmad Wani, Imran Ahmad Wani and Mohammad Ashraf Gogri, all residents of Warpora Magam, they were arrested by the troops of 6 RR from Handwara, 90 kms from here, a police spokesman said. He said one AK rifle, its two magazines, 60 rounds and eight UBGL grenades were recovered from them. The arrested persons were handed over to police who had registered a case against them. Meanwhile, police arrested Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) sympathiser Nazir Ahmad Mir of Pahaldogi from the main market of Magam-Handwara along with two hand grenades today, the spokesman added. Police had registered a case against him. In another incident, police and 36 RR troops busted a militant hideout at Danwasd Gadool in Anantnag and recovered utensils, blankets, sleeping bag, medicines and army uniforms from there.
