| NPP, MLA's leave for Delhi to pursue employee's cause | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 11: The Panthers legislature party in a meeting held under the Chairmanship of Harsh Dev Singh, working Chairman and leader of the Panther's Legislature Party attended by MLA's Balwant Singh Mankotia, Yash Paul Kundal and state General Secretary and MLC Rafiq Shah expressed grave concern over the prevailing crisis that had been created due to the employees agitation and the resultant breakdown of the entire administrative machinery of the government. The member's flayed the government for its failure to take effective steps to resolve the crisis or to bring the employees to the negotiating table. The meeting resolved that a Panther Legislators delegation, would leave for Delhi today to apprise the National, leadership about the J&K situation and to plead the cause of employees. Addressing the meeting, Harsh condemned the draconian measures and Laws evoked by the government against employees and repressive measures used against them. He said that the government had itself gave an assurance to the employees, in respect of the demand but regretfully it had back tracked. He said that the issue of arrears of employees in the light of recommendations of sixth pay commission as well as the issue of pay anomalies in various departments was required to be settled at the earliest. He said that the NPP Legislators will hold protests in front of Parliament in support of J&K employees. |
