| Chib, Madan, inaugurate Community Hall | | |

JAMMU, Apr 11: Minister for Medical Education & Sports Prof. R.S.Chib and Member Parliament, Madan Lal Sharma today inaugurated a Community Hall at Kotli Shah Daula, R. S.Pura Jammu. The Community Hall has been constructed by Rural Development Department at a cost of Rs 25 lakh under MPLAD and will facilitate a sizeable population of the area. Sharma while speaking on the occasion, he said that central government headed by S. Manmohan Singh is determined to achieve over-all development of the state and liberal funding is being made for the purpose under various infrastructure development schemes.
Addressing the mammoth public gathering after inaugurating the community hall, Prof. Chib said that it is the endeavor of the Government to concentrate on people's problems on priority and said that Government has formulated a well-knit programme for the all round development of all three regions of the State.
Prof. Chib thanked the Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma for providing funds to the tune of Rs. 25 lakh for the construction of community hall and other development works initiated under MPLAD.
The Minister said that the present Government believes in action and not on the hollow slogans and during the last over 14 months, an unprecedented development has witnessed in all sectors and the change is visible on ground.
Regarding compensation for drought hit areas, the Government has already taken up the issue with the Central Government and as a result, a central team was deputed for on-the-spot assessment of the areas.
