| Khanabadoshs unhappy over job bill | | | early times report Jammu, Apr 12: J&K Khanabadosh Gujjar Bakerwal Tehreek-e-insaaf held a meeting under the chairmanship of Haji Mohd. Aslam Kohli, State President of Nomadic Tribes. Kohli said that the ban on Inter District Recruitment besides being unconstitutional and discriminatory jeopardizes and damages the unity and integrity of the state at provinces as well as districts levels. This inaction on the part of the Govt. will provoke people to start demanding jobs at Tehsil, block and Panchayat levels. Aslam Kohli further said that the vested interest which is opposed to the unity and integrity of the state will get strengthened. While quoting an instance he said that within hours after passing the bill the Gujjars and Bakerwals of different districts of Jammu Province have received the first shock as malicious propaganda has been let loose by some responsible person asking them to stand up against the Gujjar Bakerwals majority district of Rajouri Poonch. Govt. has achieved nothing by enacting this controversial law except debarring hardly three percent out of ten percent candidates belonging to scheduled tribes including Gujjar and Bhakerwals, Ladakhis and Gaddis. The rest reservation quota that is seven percent was already going to the Tribals of all the districts of the state excluding Rajouri Poonch. The nut Shell gain of 3 percent at the cost of disenchantment, injustice and unfair play with the Tribals is not a good gain. At the juncture, the govt. must take steps for the unity of the Tribals which is essential for the unit of the state and nation rather than creating differences amongst them for the sake of a few leaders and vested interests.
