| BJP warns govt of police action on employees | | | early times report Jammu, Apr 12: In progress "Mass Contact Programme" of BJP got more strength on ground when State President Shamsher Singh Manhas chaired a largely attended public meeting at Nagbani, which was jointly organized by Raipur -Domana and Paloura Mandals. Manhas, while addressing massive rally said "be it Praja Parishad, Jana Sangh or BJP, we have been continuously fighting against the discriminatory policies of the successive state governments and their attempts to weaken the country's sovereignty over Jammu and Kashmir". He said Jammu and Kashmir is the crown of motherland and every worker of the party is committed to protect this crown at any cost. He said every now and then, strange developments take place in the state, which pains the nationalist people. He said instead of focusing on the real issues facing the people, parties like NC and PDP have been demanding restoration of pre-1953 position, self rule, autonomy and common currency and the Congress has adopted a complete silence on these demands, which is not a healthy development for the nation.
