| Mangat lauds Rang Bhoomi for promoting cultural activities | | | KATHUA, OCTOBER 14-A colorful cultural extra bonanza was organized by Rang Bhoomi, a socio cultural organization here at Police Lines Kathua.
The Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr Mangat Ram Sharma was the chief guest, while Minister of State for Revenue, Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Mr Prem Sagar Aziz and Vice Chairman SC Advisory Board Mr Girdhari Lal were the guest of honours.
Among others, District Development Commissioner Kathua Mrs Sarita Chauhan, SSP Kathua Mr J P Singh, Additional District Development Commissioner Kathua Dr Mandeep K Bhandari, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kathua Mr Charanjit Singh, Chairman Municipal Council Kathua Mr Naresh Sharma, prominent citizens and galaxy of artists were present on the occasion.
A galaxy of artists from neighboring Pathankote, Jammu and local artists from Kathua enthralled the audiences by their thrilling presentations under the title “Yeh Sham Mastani”.
Renowned artists like Jasbir Jasrotia, Sudhir Mahajan, Shilpa Padha, Divya, Sanjeev, Babby, Gopi, Parveen and number of dancing groups which include Friends Dancing Group Jammu, Chandan and Boggie Dancing Institute Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sharma lauded the efforts of President Rang Bhoomi, Mr Sudhir Mahajan for infusing the spirit of cultural activities among the budding artists of Kathua and adjoining areas and said that artists are the best media for spreading the message of national integration and communal harmony.
Mr Aziz while speaking on the occasion lauded artists for presenting such scintillating cultural show. He hoped that Rang Bhoomi could organize such more programmes in which artists from rural areas like Bani, Basohli and Billawar would participate to promote cultural activities in rural areas also.
The Minister announced Rs.51,000 to Rang Bhoomi. |
