| NC-Cong responsible employees strike: Chaman | | | early times report JAMMU, Apr 12: Holding the leaders of the Congress-National Conference responsible for the ongoing strike by the government employees, the leader of the BJP Legislators party, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has impressed upon the centre to intervene and arrange funds to keep up the promises made by the coalition leaders. He said steps should be taken to check the wasteful expenditure being incurred on the extra-Constitutional posts and luxury of the ruling junto in addition to other measures to having fiscal management by putting control on political whims of the ruling leaders. In a statement here today, Prof. Gupta said that a strange situation has been created but for misleading and unrealistic promises made by the leaders of the two major coalition partners viz the Congress and the NC just to garner their votes in the last Assembly and later on Lok Sabha elections. They had been promising at least one job to each family and pledging to issue their first order after attaining power for full implementation of the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission. In the Lok Sabha elections, they had gone to the extent that if they vote Congress back to power at the Centre, things would become easier for them for ensuring more and more funds to meet the demands of the employees and speed up the developmental activities.
