| Don't fall prey to vested interests: Bhalla to employees | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 12: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla today said that coalition government is determined to ensure all round development of the state besides taking due care of poor and downtrodden. The Minister said this while addressing a large gathering at a function held at Trikuta Nagar after paying obeisance in Shri Baba Surgal Devta ji Temple. Bhalla said that government has taken numerous steps for the welfare of the poor and downtrodden sections of the society and benefits of these schemes are percolating down to the needy. The Minister said that necessary steps are underway for upgrading road connectivity, healthcare, power, education and drinking water facilities in every nook and corner of the State, adding that, three month free ration is also being provided to all drought affected families of the area. Appealing to the Government employees to shun path of confrontation, the Minister said that certain political parties are trying to exploit the situation to further their political agenda. He said that government has not closed its doors for negotiations and urged the employees to resume their duties in the larger public interest. Earlier, several deputations from Shumali Mohalla, Govindpura, Jawala Colony, Sain Vihar, Amar Colony and Bahu Fort met the minister and projected their problems. Bhalla assured the deputationists that all their matters would be taken up at an appropriate forum for immediate redressal.
