| Jawan falls into gorge, dies | | |
JAMMU:
A Lance Naik of 39 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) died after he fell into a gorge in the Krishna Ghati sub-sector of Poonch Sunday night. Police sources said Lance Naik Virender Singh was part of an ambush party near the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati area when he slipped into the gorge. He died on the spot. The body was later retrieved from the gorge and sent for post-mortem in hospital, the sources added.
