| TUF calls for unity | | | TAKING strong exception to statements of some leaders of Gujjar community vis-à-vis passage of Inter-District Recruitment Bill, Jammu Kashmir Tribal United Forum (JKTUF) today cautioned the Gujjar and Bakerwal communities to remain vigilant of the "black sheep" within the community who are creating confusion over the stand of ST on the bill. In a press statement issued here, the Forum alleged that some self style organisations are bent upon to divide the community and organizing Press Conferences on behest of some influential Ministers and MLA to justify the bill or their own wrong footing. The TUF executive body met today under the chairmanship of its chief, Roshan Din Choudhary, in a message sent to various leaders who are fighting for equal treatment in favour of Schedule Tribe community as done in case of Schedule Caste, the leaders of Forum urged that community should unite on one fora and fight a common war against the misleading forces which seldom cared for their own people. The state chief of TUF, while reiterating their decision to challenge the inter-district recruitment bill in the court of law, said that they have the data and constitutional justification which prove this controversial bill as unconstitutional. "The time has now come when their community members would be able to stand for their fundamental rights and no one would be swayed by the vested interests of so called community representatives," he added.
