| 3 ultra sound machines seized | | | AKHNOOR: Akhnoor police has seized three more ultra sound machines in a day long raids conducted in three medical clinics today on the charges of sex determination. The raids were conducted on the revelation of the arrested doctor namely Surinder Kampani. As per police source a police team of police station Akhnoor today conducted raids in the three clinics identified as Trikuta Clinic, Choudhary Nursing Home and Krishana Ultr Sound and seized three machines of ultra sound which were instrumental for sex determination.
A couple of weeks ago police on specific information conducted raid in the clinic of doctor Surinder Kampani and arrested her on the charges of female foeticide. During her interrogation she told the name of other three private clinics to police where female sex were being determined. Today police conducted raids in the clinics and seized ultra sound machines which were instrumental for the purpose. A case has already stood against the arrested doctor under section 419, 420,312 RPC.Further investigation is in progress, police source informed.
