| Baisakhi symbolises secular ethos: JKNPP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 14: A Baisakhi get-together was organised at the Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) headquarters in New Delhi. Renowned Dogri poetess Padma Sachdev presided over the function while Prof Bhim Singh was chief guest on the occasion. In a message, the prominent Dogra activist Prof Ashutosh Sharma urged the Dogras all over India and those who have been residing abroad to take a pledge to promote and strengthen Dogra Culture which has been under a serious cultural aggression from the ruling clique particularly the Congress and the National Conference. The Dogras are identified with Hindus, Muslims and other groups irrespective of their religions or castes. There are more than two crores of Dogras spread in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and J&K besides 25,000 Dogras in POK. Padma Sachdev in her message called on the Dogras to unite humane bonds of love and humanity to strengthen the global fraternity. Prof. Bhim Singh congratulating the people on Baisakhi called on the people to spread the message of secularism, unity, progress and ultimate justice which shall come only through ‘Ultimate Revolution’. The others who attended the Baisakhi celebration include MLA and Leader of the Panthers Legislature Party Harsh Dev Singh, MLA and State President JKNPP Balwant Mankotia, MLA Yashpal Kundal, MLC Syed Rafiq Shah, National Bahujan Party President DK Dogra, KK Manhotra, Delhi Pradesh Panthers Party President BS Sajan and other party office bearers.
