| Shabir calls on Union Forest Minister | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT NEW DELHI, Apr 14: Minister of State for Forest and Environment, Shabir Ahmed Khan, today called on Union Forest and Environment Minister, Jairam Ramesh and sought approval of forest conservation and wildlife species projects, already submitted by the State Government. The Minister discussed various issues related to conservation of Forest, development of eco-tourism and protection of rich environs of the State. He informed the Union Minister that State Government has already submitted project reports for conservation of rare wild species, besides development of eco-tourism and requested him that the same may be approved and funds would be released to enable the State to take up these projects at the earliest. Shabir also apprised the Union Minister about the initiatives taken by the State Government for development and conservation of forests, wild species and rich environs of the State. The Union Forest Minister assured the Minister that Centre would provide all logistic and financial assistance to the State Government for conservation and development of green gold of the State, besides conservation of its rare wild species, including Hangul.
