| PDP pays tributes to Ambedkar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today organised a small but impressive functin to pay rich tributes to the framer of the Indian Constitution Bharat Ratna Dr B R Ambedkar.
The function was organsied by Jammu office of the Peoples Democratic Party and presided by Mr A K Sawhney, (Advocate) Spokesperson of the J&K PDP.
Sawhney while paying rich tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar explained about the life of the great man but with simple lifestyle.
He said that Dr Ambedkar was the Chairman of the drafting committee of the Indian Constitution and is remembered as the Father of Indian Constitution. He was a great reformist, beleived in secularism, socilaism and worked for the upliftment of Dalits.
Sawhney lighted the traditional lamp and prayed to the God to grant solace to the sould in heaven.
Others present on the ocassion included Mr R K Bali, Distt President Urban Jammu, Mr Chaman Angral, Rajinder Manhas, Vice President Youth PDP, Jagjeet Singh Jagga, Sonal Kumar and Iftikhar Khan Salaria.
