| DWCC celebrates Ambedkar’s anniversary | | |

JAMMU, Apr 14: All J&K Dhobi Welfare Centre Committee (DWCC) celebrated the 119th Birthday of Bharat Ratna Baba Sahib Dr BR Ambedkar.
The members of the committee said that the work Dr Ambedkar has done will be written in golden words.
All members of the Biradari demanded enhancement in reservation quota of OBC from 2% to 27% as agreed by the Chief Minister and other Cabinet Ministers of the state but till date the OBC people are deprived of their rights.
They alleged that government and politicians are playing games with OBC people to fulfill their self interest.
Change of nomenclature of certificate from the Other Social Caste (OSC) to Other Backward Class (OBC) which was already approved by the State Cabinet on November16, 2007 as recommended by the High Power Committee constituted for amendment of SRO 294.
On the occasion, all the OBC people were asked to join their hands together and to stay away from the false promises of the political leaders.
