| PNB holds painting contest on Foundation Day | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, April 14: Punjab National Bank (PNB), on the occasion of its 116th Foundation Day celebrations, organised a painting competition at Kala Kendra here today. Nearly 300 students from city schools participated in this competition. The students were provided with drawing and painting material by the bank. Speaking on the occasion, B L Jain, AGM-Circle Office Jammu said that it was a momentous and emotional day for the entire PNB family as the Bank celebrates its 116th Foundation Day with these children’s, who are the future of the nation. Established in 1895 at Lahore on auspicious Baisakhi day, the Bank has a tradition of sound and prudent banking. The Bank has been able to win the trust and faith of more than 5.6 crore account holders served through 5000 service outlets. This trust has been earned by the Bank by serving our customers over generations. Speaking on the occasion, Lieut NK Anand, Manager informed that PNB under its corporate social responsibility has been actively initiating innovative activities by reaching the needy at lowest level in the form of organizing functions such as distribution of school bags to orphans of Beervah, Srinagar, School uniforms to orphans of Bal-niketan Jammu, providing needy students with stationary and essential items and such other activities from time to time. He informed that the paintings have been handed over to the judges and the results of the painting competition shall be made public within a day.
