| Militants escape from encounter site | | Arms, ammunition recovered from hideout | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KISHTWAR, Apr 14: Some militants reportedly to be four in number escaped from the spot during the encounter which was started between security forces and militants in forest area of Kishtwar in the evening today. However, security forces have seized arms and ammunition from the hideout of the militants. The identification of the militants was not established. During search operation launched by STF Tanda and STF Kulna a contact was established with the militants who were reportedly four in number thus started fierce encounter. In the ensuing encounter that lasted for about two hours militants managed to escape from the spot taking the advantage of darkness. However, security forces have recovered arms and ammunition from the hideout of militants which included one Fire Shell,2 UBGL,10 UBGL grenades, one hand grenade, one detonator,5 meter fuel wire and some utensils. Meanwhile two other search operations were also launched in Hamirpur and Kalakote by army on the specific information of presence of militants but no break through was made.
