| BAJ bats local VC for CUJ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 15: Bar Association Jammu (BAJ) has supported the demand of appointing local incumbent for the top post in the Jammu Central University. In a statement issued here, Rajesh Thappa, general secretary BAJ has warned the Union government for testing the patience of Jammuites every now and then and reiterated its resolve that Bar Association would not lag behind in case Jammu is discriminated, let down or any outsider including that from Kashmir is imposed as vice chancellor for the new Jammu Central University. Thappa added that this new University has been "snatched" for Jammuites and is the outcome of long drawn struggle launched by them where Bar Association Jammu played leading role and now any outsider if appointed would be adding salt to the injuries of Jammuities which Bar Association cannot tolerate under any circumstances. Thappa reminded the Govt. of India of Amarnath agitation days where Jammuites if injured could go to any extent and cautioned it not to fall prey to the anti Jammu forces, including Kashmiri Rulers who earlier tried to deprive us from central University and now have hatched conspiracy to appoint some outsider of their choice who could facilitate them nefarious designs.
