| Humming Buds pre-school celebrates Baisakhi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 15: The tiny toddlers of Humming Buds, the preschool, organized a function in connection with Baisakhi at both BC Road and Residency Road branches and celebrated the festival with great zeal and enthusiasm. The school was decorated with colourful pots, phulkari duppattas and wheat grass. Children came in colourful attire and were dressed as 'Gabrus' and 'Mutiyars'. Kids presented Bhangra on the song 'Rang de Basanti' and raised slogans of 'Jatta Aayee Baisakhi'. A special invitee on the occasion was the mother of little bud Gurmeet Kour ,who shared the importance of the festival and the foundation of Khalsa Panth laid by the tenth Sikh Guru "Guru Gobind Singh Ji" with the students. Children were also involved in variety of other activities like putting of Mehandi on hands, winnowing of wheat grains, making of sickle and wheat plant. The Principals of the school of the both branches Dr KK Handoo and Rupa Gupta greeted everyone on the occasion of Baisakhi and asked the students to adopt and respect their culture and traditions.
