| Reformative steps afoot to streamline functioning of DFCO: Sham | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 15: Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma has said that functioning of the State Drug and Food Control Organization (DFCO) is being further streamlined to make it more transparent and accountable to serve the people best. He said the organization will be adequately equipped to cater the increased work load accumulated over the years. During his visit to the office of Controller, Drugs and Food Organization, here today, the Minister asked the functionaries to gear up their efforts to achieve the targets. He asked the Controller to conduct regular field visits to keep a check on sale of spurious drugs and unlawful operation of medical outlets. He assured to provide improved facilities to the Organization to enhance its efficiency. Minister directed for strict adherence to dress code by the staff members which is mandatory. He also took round of all the units and interacted with the staff and listened to their grievances. The Controller, Satish Gupta, briefed the Minister about the functioning of the Organization.
