SIDDHARTH
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, April 15: Devoid of any celebrated inheritance in art, this budding bloom among its contemporary competitors is one among the world so high like a diamond in the sky.
Laxmi Tagotra, a small name in her township of Jourian, some 50 kilometers away from Jammu might have never dreamt of making it roaring rage in country’s capital while receiving a coveted honour among the celebrated luminaries of India as she was named as one of the recipients of the honour for her renditions in Dogri.
The girl who is a household name now in state has to her credit a chain of successful ventures which she undertook in the field of artistry ranging from her renditions in the field of writing to acting on stage and into the glamour world.
“My first effort into the field started when I found myself getting attracted towards writing. The attempt started from scribbling few meaningless words on the piece of paper that later found my instincts sewing them into a floral decorum that caught my peers’ attention,” said Laxmi Tagotra adding that afterwards she never stopped in putting her heart and soul in very poem and poetry in Dogri she wrote.
Besides, Laxmi Tagotra has been instrumental in making success her first habit while being on the proscenium or rendering her artistic nuances for the celluloid frames as the simpleton belonging to far off confines on the border lines of Jourian became an instant hit with the localities here.
“I am being roped in by most of the directors and producers for the works in serials or telefilms since I own a very humble aptitude towards my job. Besides a recent best actress award clinched by me in films have given a sound platform to exhibit my talent to further heights which I’m am taking care of”, said the new star on the celluloid horizons of the state.
Laxmi has also acted in one of the national hook ups of Sahara One channel where she bagged a very meaty role in a serial entitled ‘Ghar Sasural’.
“ My instant success was the recent one as I was nominated by Hindi Academy, New Delhi for an honour on the occasion of ‘Bhartiya Kavita Utsav’ wherein I found my stature being dwarfed amongst the celebrated luminaries having come from 28 states of the nation,” said Tagotra while feeling an air of pride surrounding her bearings.
Laxmi who presently is one of the busiest female actors of the town has to her credit an actress award also romped home by her in annual drama festival of the academy for the year 2005.
“My integrity towards theatre is almost glued like that of being in love with my God. I owe my indebitness to theatre as well as my writing prowess that has helped me reach to this crescendo,” said Laxmi while talking to this reporter.
Having nearly 4-5 projects in hand in celluloid world pertaining to different albums, serials and telefilms, Laxmi presently is one of the busiest star of the state.
