Over 50,000 pay obeisance at Dera Baba Shrine

REASI, APIRL 16 - Over 50,000 devotees paid their obeisance at historic Gurdawara of Dera Baba Bandha Bahadur Bairagi in village Dera of district Reasi during the 3- day Baisakhi festival. Large number of devotees and disciples of Baba Bandha Bahadur thronged the Shrine to seek blessings of the Baba from within and outside the State.

Gurdawara Management Committee of Dera Baba had made elaborate arrangements for stay of the devotees besides serving free community langer.

It may be worthwhile to mention here that the Gurdawara is located at an ideal site on the banks of mighty river Chanderbagha (Chenab) in district Reasi. The Gurudawara is connected with roads from holy town Katra and district headquarter, Reasi located at a distance of 35 km and 15 km respectively.

District Administration had made elaborate arrangements of drinking water, Un-interrupted power supply, drinking water supply, sanitation and medicare facilities at the Mela site. Reasi District Police had also made elaborate arrangements of security to maintain law and order during the Mela days.
