CD awareness camp concludes at Baisakhi Mela

UDHAMPUR, APRIL 16 - To educate the general masses about the various precautions to be adopted during disaster like situation, the Civil Defence (CD) Organization Udhampur organized a 3-day awareness camp during the Baisakhi festival at the bank of sacred Devika rivulet which was concluded today.

This year, Devika Baisakhi Mela witnessed a huge rush of visitors from within and out side the district. To provide assistance to the civil and police administration for the smooth conduct of the mela, the Civil Defence volunteers extended their services at the mela site.

The people in general and members of Baisakhi festival committee in particular have appreciated the civil defence volunteers for their support during the mela days.

During the camp, the Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur who is also the controller of Civil Defence Udhampur, Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur along with other officers interacted with the civil defence wardens and took stock of arrangements to deal with any eventuality.
