| ReT deputation calls on Rana, Calls off Apr 19th strike | | | Early Times Report

A deputation of All J&K RET Teachers Forum led by its state president Vinod Sharma today called on Devinder Singh Rana, Political Advisor to Chief Minister and apprised him of their long pending genuine demands.
The demands included regularization of Education Volunteers (EVs) as General Line Teachers who have completed 7 years service, inclusion of 5 years rendered service of RET Teachers for seniority benefits, enhancement in the wages of RET Teachers upto Rs. 7000 per month till regularization, provision of SRO-43 in favour of RET Teachers and Transfer Policy in favour of regularized RET Teachers etc.
Devinder Rana gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured them that their all genuine demands would be considered at an earliest and the matter would be brought into the notice of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and Education Minister, Peerzada Sayeed.
Meanwhile, the state body of RET Teachers Forum with the consultation of all district presidents of the Forum decided to call off their April 19th strike on the assurance of Devinder Singh Rana and hoped that the Government would redress their all the demands at an earliest so that RET Teachers may not suffer any more.
Prominent among those who were part of the deputation included Younis Rahi, Rajesh Singh, Ravinder, Ranjeet, Surinder, Subash, Altaf Hussain and others. |
