| Coalition working for establishing socio-economic justice: Tara Chand | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr 16: Reiterating the Government’s resolve to ensure equitable development of all the three regions of the State, the Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand has said that a comprehensive developmental and welfare programme is being successfully implemented in every nook and corner of the State, adding that it was the prime objective of the Coalition Government to establish social, political and economic justice by making available all basic amenities of life to the people at their doorsteps.
Addressing a public gathering, here at Kot Meira this afternoon, the Deputy Chief Minister said that it was the prime endeavour of the Government to makae available potable water, electricity, road connectivity, medicare, sanitation, irrigation, essential commodities and quality education and other facilities to the people, adding that in this connection several schemes have been completed and some are at various stages of completion. He said that the Government is aware about the problems and demands of the people and these are being mitigated in a phased manner. The Government was committed to keep the promises made with the people, he added. Tara Chand said that during last 16 months, due attention has been paid to developmental and other sectors, adding that comprehensive measures are underway to ensure upliftment of weaker sections of the society.
The Deputy Chief Minister sought public cooperation for the successful implementation of various Central and State Sponsored Developmental, Welfare and Housing and Urban Development Schemes in rural, urban, border and backward areas of the State to ensure transparency.
Tara Chand stressed upon the officers to work with dedication for and ensure effective implementation of various schemes so that benefits percolate down to the gross root level.
The Deputy Chief Minister also stressed upon the workers for strengthening the NC-Congress alliance for the balanced development and eradication of poverty from the State.
He also had interaction with the local and heard their problems, assuring that these would be earnestly looked into. He also reviewed the developmental efforts launched in the area. |
