Computerization of revenue records of RS Pura tehsil on anvil: Bhalla

JAMMU, Apr 16:
Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla has said that the revenue record of tehsil RS Pura will be computerized in a time bound manner for the convenience of the people.

He said that steps are being taken to ensure that the people would not face any difficulty in getting relevant papers about their land.

During his visit to the border tehsil, this morning, the Minister said that an amount of Rs

1 crore would be spent on up-gradation of the existing infrastructure of tehsil office, RS Pura.

While inspecting the ongoing construction work of meeting hall of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Office, RS Pura, Minister said an amount of Rs 25.60 lakh is being spent on it.

Minister said that for construction of Patwarkhana, RS Pura, the government has released Rs 2.5 lakh adding that for Dablehar, Satwari, Bishnah and Bahu areas’ Niabats, the government has already released Rs 4 lakh each for construction/up-gradation of offices.

Responding to the demand of locals, the Minister asked the concerned authorities to immediately demolish the wall of the second entry gate of the tehsil office.

He announced Rs 10 lakh for construction of main entry gate. He asked the executing agency to immediately start the construction work and complete it within 2 months for the benefit of general masses.

To promote border tourism in RS Pura, Bhalla said that coalition government is making all out efforts to develop Suchetgarh area as tourist spot by providing all infrastructural facilities to visitors. He said that this year the Baisakhi festival was also started from Octori Post in Suchetgarh.

He said that most of tourists reaching in the city of temples, in the first instance visit Mahakali temple at Bahu Fort and later proceed to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi ji.

With a view to divert maximum number of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims to visit the Jammu City, the government has taken up various projects to add to the attraction of the city of temples.

Minister said that the government has sanctioned Rs 2 crore for developing the Raghunath Bazaar as Heritage Bazaar.

Later, a deputation of Kashmiri migrants led by Ex-MLC Bhushan Lal Bhan met the Minister and apprised him about the decision of Supreme Court regarding HRA and CCA of migrant employees.

Raman Bhalla gave patient hearing and assured that the genuine demands of the KP migrants would be looked into on priority.

Sub Divisional Magistrate, R S Pura, Ashwani Kumar Khajuria and other senior officers of Revenue, R&B, PHE and PDD accompanied the Minister.
