Bhalla launches “Consumer The King” magazine

JAMMU, Apr 16:

Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla today launched a free of cost consumer guide named “Consumer The King-a combo magazine” of life style editorials, articles, columns, features and consumer’s references designed to add value and style to the lives of readers and consumers at a function held here today.

The publication has been documented by the City Info Land Markers Pvt Ltd.

The Director Information and Public Relations, Khawaza Farooq Renzu was guest of honour on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister called for nurturing human values to safe-guard consumer rights at all levels. He called upon the corporate world to contribute in creating awareness among masses about their consumer rights.

Bhalla called for providing right and authenticated information to the incoming tourists including ever increasing pilgrim tourists about the varied religious, cultural and heritage tourism potential of all the three regions of the state including city of temples Jammu, land of Gumpas Ladakh and Paradise on earth, Kashmir. He said the company has undoubtedly done a signification social service by introducing free of cost guide book for the people to add value and style to their lives.

Minister said the present coalition government has put in every efforts to protect consumer rights to the people in every nook and corner of the state. He said it was endeavour of the coalition government to provide improved basic amenities to the people at their doorsteps.

Earlier, the Managing Director of CILM said that the company aims at being a responsible corporate and is already owning a leading publication brand-City Info yellow pages (directories) for different North India cities which are also circulated free of cost. He said that company launched its Just Call Service in Jammu in 1998. He said its yellow pages directory is being used by about 4 lakh people/consumers in Jammu adding that as corporate social responsibility the magazine consumer the king is targeted to be distributed among about 60,000 consumers.
