JAMMU, Apr 17: Arms and ammunition were today recovered by army troops from near the Line of Control (LoC) at Thandi Choi in Jourian sub-sector of Akhnoor.Police sources said troops of 19 Sikh were on routine patrolling in the area when they came across a consignment of arms and ammunition that was hidden in bushes.The recovery included two Chinese pistols, 76 AK rounds, one radio set, one raincoat, black cloth, a copy of holy Quran, two bags, one handgrenade, rifle grenades, a UBGL launcher along with a grenade, anti-tank rifle grenades and explosive powder. Searches were continuing in the area when reports last came in.
